The Weekend Update.

It's been a long, hot weekend. It was 90 degrees every day, and oppressively humid.

Church was very long and very boring today. And the choir loft was like a sauna. I had to leave early because I nearly passed out from the heat.

I saw two movies this weekend. I decided to pass on Spider-man 3 for now. But I did see Shrek the Third and Pirates of the Carribean: At World's End. Both were very good.

If you haven't seen Pirates yet, do not, I repeat, do NOT leave before the end credits are finished. There's a very sweet scene that could be important for possible sequels! The movie was a little too long and a bit confusing, but it was just as much fun as the first two. Keith Richards' cameo as Jack Sparrow's dad was worth the ticket price. And I will probably be thrown out of obasc  for saying this, but I really, really enjoyed seeing Tom Hollander's Lord Becket get what was coming to him. I honestly don't see why he's so popular in that community!  He gives me the creeps (like in Pride & Prejudice). I do see why they like Jack Davenport (Norrington). Johnny Depp was great as usual.

Shrek the Third was fun, but the magic of the first two was gone. I hope there won't be a fourth movie.

That's all for now. I was able to repair the damage I did to my cross stitching project, so I don't feel as bad about it. I'm going to work on it some more tonight. It's looking pretty good now.
