Birthdays are fun...

...even when they aren't your own. My sister's birthday was Friday, but we celebrated it yesterday (she and her family went to the Nats/Mets game Friday). We had some good Chinese takeout and a cake from Maggie Moo's. Katie loved the bracelet/earrings that I made for her. I also got her a Scrabble t-shirt (You can't spell "Awesome" without "Me"!), so she insisted on playing Scrabble after dinner! She won, of course. I was dead last- I really suck at Scrabble and my letters were awful.

Poor Ike is sick again. He's getting thinner and weaker. I don't think he'll last much longer.

I went to see Order of the Phoenix for a third time (still plan on seeing it in IMAX, too). I noticed stuff that I missed before- like Ron's Patronus knocking Neville on his ass. WHAM! How did I miss that ?

Still not much to report about my cousin. On top of everything else, she has some kind of infection and ended up with a fever of 103.9 F. Ouch. We're still very worried about her.

Ordeal By Innocence

Just watched it on PBS...not really a huge Miss Marple fan (this wasn't even a Marple story, but it supposedly was one of Agatha Christie's favorites), and I knew who the killer was right away, but it was okay.

I want Micky screencaps! Bryan Dick with red hair- ME LIKE!!! Damn, he could play a Weasley in the last two Harry Potter movies...

Bryan really wasn't in it much, but he was cute as usual. He looks really good in the 30's/40's/50's era. Was he born in 1978 or 1928?

It was also a nice little Bleak House reunion-  with Burn Gorman  and Denis Lawson.

I had to watch on the Richmond PBS, because stupid WETA is having a pledge drive, and showed an older Mystery! instead.
