It's happened again.

A mass school shooting in Broward County, Florida. 17 dead, at least 14 injured. Shooter was a 19 year old former student who had been expelled.

My sister, her niece, and our cousin Sarah are teachers. I am so afraid that one day their schools will be on the news because of a shooting.

Screw thoughts and prayers. Something needs to be done to stop gun violence. But nothing changed after Columbine, Virginia Tech, Aurora, Sandy Hook, the Charleston church, the Pulse nightclub, Las Vegas, or the Texas church shootings. We're used to it. It's our daily routine. Shooting happens, we watch the non stop coverage, offer thoughts and prayers, nothing is done, we forget and it happens again. And it's only in the United States. Other countries changed their gun laws after a mass shooting (such as the UK after the Dunblane massacre). Why the hell can't we change things?
