*sighs* They aren't anymore. Funky Winkerbean just killed off Lisa today, Grandpa Jim of For Better or For Worse just had another stroke, the dad in Sally Forth lost his job...damn it, if I want to be depressed, I'll read some emo kid's lj.

I forgot to tape Pushing Daisies. I really want to see it. Oh, well. If I got attatched to it, it would only get cancelled.  I taped House and SVU on Tuesday and still haven't watched them. And tonight, Law and Order: Criminal Intent is on USA- up against ER. Sorry, ER. CI wins.

Choir wasn't too bad last night, but I'm really getting tired of the director throwing stuff at us at the last minute. Most of the choir members aren't that good at sight-reading music. I'm going to miss two Sundays in a row, and we're singing one of my favorite pieces, a Kyrie by Gabriel Fauré, one week. Darn it. I hope we sing it again. Bell practice went really well last Sunday. We've got a good choir with challenging music this year.

I'm leaving for my cousin's wedding next Thursday. I need to find a dress!

Well, there's still Pearls Before Swine.

Grandpa Jim just had another stoke? :(

I stopped reading Funky a long time ago. It was way too soapy, and I didn't relate to the characters as well as the ones in For Better (despite it being equally soapy).

Those lovely hardbound collections they've been releasing of various cartoons (complete slipcased sets of Calvin & Hobbes and The Far Side, and two-years-at-a-time collections of Peanuts and Dick Tracy) are a godsend... it's like TV-on-DVD with all your favorite old shows at a time when most of the new shows suck dick. Who needs the comics page anymore when you can relive better stuff?

Lisa died?????

Wait, which one's Lisa? I haven't seen a real newspaper in years. Was she the blonde TV presenter wife?

No, she was Les Moore's wife. They had a daughter, and Lisa had also had a son as a teen whom she'd given up (but was reunited with just before dying).
