McCain just picked a woman as his VP. I hope this doesn't steal much from Obama.

Governor Palin has even less experience than Obama. If something happens to McCain, do we really want her to be President? She's totally anti-choice and anti-gay rights.

To all Hillary supporters who are going over to McCain- you'll get what you deserve.

ETA- the more I hear about Palin, though, maybe I'm wrong. Not only does she have little experience, she also seems to have an abuse-of-power scandal out there. Hmmmmm, maybe I'm being too hasty.

And McCain trying to make history? Uh, it's been done before. Remember Geraldine Ferraro?

The plan is obvious, get Clinton voters on board with a Woman VP, of course the fact that she doesn't seem to actually stand for any women's rights apparently doesn't land on their radar.

If the electorate is dumb enough to buy into this type of pandering then this country is doomed.

I'm thinking Australia over Canada though :D

Sadly, they are dumb enough. I don't think I'll even bother voting now. :( What's the point? The jerks win.

What really pisses me off is that the news has taken away from Obama's speech. For that, I say FUCK YOU, McCain.

Taht's politics. The Dems do it as much as the GOP. It's all about who makes the most news most recently.

And it is history. The GOP has never put anyone but a white man on the ticket before.

Yeah, I know. Dems are just as bad. I was just hoping for a little more attention for last night's speech.

True about the GOP, too...but he could have made a better choice. If he had picked, say, Kay Bailey Hutchinson, I might have even considered voting for the ticket. MIGHT have. :p Either way, we get history- Black President, or a women Veep.
