Just in case...

I have backed up my journal with LJ Archive. Whatever happens, I won't be renewing my paid account this year. If live journal continues, I'll just use a basic account.

Darn. I hope the site doesn't go away before my fifth anniversary here!

I'm mostly thinking about where to go next. I have several friends here that don't post at Trek BBS, and communities I love being a part of that I doubt I'll find anywhere else (hello, bryan_dick_fans ?)!

I've been offline all day, so I'm just as lost. Please help!

me too...I haven't heard anything about there being no more LJ...How can I save all my entries? I certainly don't want to lose them!

LJ isn't necessarily doomed, but this article suggests its future may not be terribly bright, either.

Go here to download LJ Archive. After you install it, run it. It'll ask you where you want to save your LJ; it'll suggest a directory on your computer and create it for you. Click "next" at the bottom. The next screen asks for your LJ username and password; enter those and click "next". Then click "Finish" at the bottom of the next screen, and it'll download all your LJ entries and comments. It might take a while, though. PM me if you have any hassles.
