Insomnia has struck again- I was up nearly all night. I think I got two hours of sleep in. I'll have to take a nap somehow, because caffeine is not going to help me stay awake now. In fact, I'm going to avoid caffeine for the next day or so.

ME TOO. I feel your pain.

I have two tricks for dealing with it which may or may not be any use to you. One is to lie in the dark and play audiobooks: it engages my brain just enough to stop it getting restless and thinking of things to worry me with, but not enough to keep me awake.

the other is melatonin. I have some tablets a friend sent me for Spike's noise phobia. I don't like taking them, because my freakish low resistance to everything means one will make me sleep for eighteen hours and be like a zombie for another twelve. But I've found half a one helps if the sleeplessness is really stubborn.

I've tried melatonin, but for some reason, it made me sick. :(

Yesterday, I had a lot going on, so I must have been a bit hyper. Plus there was the PMS factor...hormones are no help when you need sleep!

Hormones suck like nothing on earth. So much sympathy there. I wouldn't mind nearly so much if PMS made me angry and snappish; but it only makes me cry a lot and hate myself. Gee, thanks, girl parts.
