Worried about Eddie.

He's not eating much and won't let me pick him up. He acts like he's starving, but will only eat a few bites of whatever food I give him. Everything else seems normal. :( I guess he's just getting old. I'm not ready to lose him. I don't know what I'd do without him, silly as that sounds.

Poor kitty! Take him to the vet. Maybe there's an explanation, like he has a sore muscle that makes it hard to eat and painful to be picked up. I hope he'll be ok!

*edit: Ugh, my other cat walked across the keyboard and picked a nonsensical icon for me.*

He was just at the vet for a checkup and he was fine. Maybe it's just a kitty virus, because he ate fine this morning, and acted like his normal self.

Something not as bad that it could be? When my late cat did something very similar to that, it turned out to be a plaque build-up on her teeth causing pain. They cleaned it off, and she was okay. Until that point, for a week couldn't really eat. When she did, she shook her head.

However, the not allowing you to pick him up? That wasn't part of it. Just in case, I agree that you need to take him to the vet.
