Bummer. Another icon of of my teen years goes BOOM.

Literally. Westminster Mall has been demolished. :( That was a big hangout place in the 80's. It was a nice, big mall that had a bunch of (small) hot air balloons floating in a courtyard. Lots of great shopping. And the marching band had a gift wrapping booth every Christmas. I spent many hours doing that. I'm an expert gift wrapper now.

Times change. First Joslin's (an awesome department store) closed, then Mervyn's and Broadway Southwest went bust, and nothing replaced them. Then my old hometown of Broomfield opened Flatirons Crossing- an even bigger and more upscale mall...and that was it for poor Westy. Nothing lasts forever...
