And then there were three. :(

The fifth egg never hatched. And the fourth chick was pushed out of the nest. He/she was still alive, but too weak to survive. Nothing I could do except leave the poor little thing alone and let nature take its course. And then the neighbor's cat ATE it. As if it wasn't suffering enough!

The surviving trio (two cowbirds, one house finch) are doing well. They're getting big and noisy!

They'll be flying away soon.
