The disaster was a major part of Courtney's first book, so I re-created that scene. I used McKenna as Courtney's friend Sarah. The reactions of the kids and their teacher were exactly what it was like that day.

Meanwhile, Katie is down to one chemo session! Her last one will be next week. Then it's five weeks of radiation therapy. She and our parents are both qualified to get the COVID-19 vaccine now, and will get it as soon as the next shipment comes in. I have to wait a little longer. I'm so tired of social distancing. But I'll do it until enough people are vaccinated.
